Purpose: Child welfare, Disability, Education, Health,
Women's issues
Aim/Objective/Mission: Aikya aims to improve and enhance
the functional capabilities of special children (children
with autism, ADHD, ADD, Down syndrome, Spastics) through
individualised training using special teaching methods
and behaviour modification techniques. Mission of Aikya:
To equip the children with special needs to be self-radiant
and relate themselves usefully to the community. Training
is imparted at Aikya in areas that form the integral part
of daily living specially designed equipment and experienced
learning program from part of Gross and fire motor training.
Physiotherapy occupational and play therapy session are
conducted to help develop the body awareness, strength
and co-ordinate. Adequate training is given to acquire
independence in self help skills. Speech therapy for speech
and articulation. |
