Purpose: Education, Training
Aim/Objective/Mission: COD has been engaged in conducting
executive development programmes in which about 8000 executives
have participated. The Centre also conducts research studies,
publishes books and papers. It offers a limited number
of executive development programmes for senior and top
executives on different aspects of organisation development
and human resource development. Broadly speaking, there
are two kinds of programmes- (i) the inter-organisational
programmes, where participants from various organisations
come together to explore a theme and (ii) specially designed
organisation-based programmes for selected groups of executives
from the same organisation. Every programme of the Centre
uses participant centered methodologies such as case discussion,
problem solving exercise, role plays, video-recorded simulation
exercises and senior and distinguished executives are
invited to share their real life experiences and practices
with the participants. To encourage participation of professionals
and executives from non-profit educational institutions,
trade unions and NGOs engaged in rural development, women
and child welfare, 50% concession in fee will be offered
to candidates sponsored by these institutions.. |
