Aim/Objective/Mission: CAN STOP (Cancer Support Therapy to Overcome Pain) is an outreach programme of Sundaram Medical Foundation, Dr. Rangarajan Memorial Hospital. We have a volunteer work force that work on a continuos basis with 60 children at the Institute of Child Health, Egmore who are suffering from cancer. 120 women with cervical cancer from the government women’s hospital. CAN STOP projects include – Educational therapy, counselling, music therapy, occupational therapy, awareness/screening camps, nutrition project, blood/drug bank, CAN_Wish and sponsor a child. A helpline is available where counselling, information, refusal services and home visits are provided. Our basic is to help people learn about cancer related problems to provide mutual support and education. All our services are offered free of charge. Any donations are welcome and eligible for 100% tax exemption.
