Purpose:
Aim/Objective/Mission: Debate envisions establishment
of different forums of debate in the society so as to
enable the people to express their views and opinions.
It is, thus, the functional aspect of participative democratic
functioning. It has identified Panchayats as the basic
institutional units towards which it will direct its interventions
so that the processes of debate are rooted close to the
community; provide a legal administrative framework; and
direct towards the social, political and economic development. |
