Aim/Objective/Mission: Our Mission: If it is not owned,
it’s there, not here. It’s real if it is mine…
To revitalise Indian Medical Heritage by demonstrating
its contemporary relevance, we in FRLHT see revitalisation
of our medical heritage in five practical forms: - Effective
programmes to utilise the best traditional knowledge and
practices related to prevention, simple cures and promotive
health in millions of rural and urban homes - Effective
national programmes for conservation and sustainable utilisation
of medicinal plants and other natural resources used by
our medical heritage. - Effective community-based enterprises
that can provide income and employment to thousands of
rural women and men through cultivation and sustainable
collection of medicinal plants as well as manufacture
of herbal products based on our medical heritage. - Effective
Research Programmes that help India make original contributions
to the world of medicine from the knowledge base of indigenous
medical systems. - Effective interventions, which help
invigorate institutions as well as social traditions,
and people-to-people processes that, transmit our medical
heritage. We will fulfil our mission: - With ‘Action’
and ‘Service’ projects of a size and scale
that impact on society. - With word-class training programmes.
- With high quality research programmes that can guide
action and training. |
