Purpose: Employment, Rural Development
Aim/Objective/Mission: IRCEN was established with a view
to formulate and carry out value based activities which
may help promote appreciation of art and social values
particularly in rural and tribal areas of the country.
It also carries out the task of bridging schism between
formal system of education of India’s rich and varied
cultural traditions for the target group. It has been
successfully conducting cultural exchange programmes on
non-official basis with some of the foreign countries.
Another important objective of IRCEN has been to rehabilitate
the unemployed rural/ tribal youth by organising income-generating
training program. |
