Purpose: Disability, Health
Aim/Objective/Mission: IRCS plans and implements activities
targetted at the welfare of the handicapped and the other
weaker sections of the society in terms of health care.
It organises blood donation camps encouraging normal people
to donate blood for the needy people. It also runs a institute
for mentally retarded children, a working women's hostel,
drug de-addiction centre, and provides services like ambulances,
aid and appliances for the handicapped. It also imparts
training in First Aid to the general public, factory workers,
drivers and conductors, students and teachers. Vocational
training is imparted to adult women in order to make them
self-dependent. |
