Aim/Objective/Mission: The Karuna Animal Welfare Association
of Karnataka (Formerly the Bangalore Society for the Prevention
of Cruelty to Animals) was established in the year 1888
and has been rendering yeoman service for the well being
of animals. This organisation has been granted the status
of member society by the world society for the protection
of animals. It is also associated with north shore animal
league of the USA in various activities. The objective
of the society is to prevent cruelty to animals and to
secure the welfare and proper care of animals in the state
of Karnataka and to liase with other similar organisations
in the country and abroad in carrying out work in the
interest of animal welfare. |
