Aim/Objective/Mission: MENTAID is an association for development
of the Mentally Handicapped. The first organisation of
its kind in West Bengal exclusively formed by Parents
of the Mentally handicapped children and adults. It is
a non-profit making voluntary NGO for overall development
of the mentally handicapped. MENTAID’s mission is
to improve the quality of life of children and young people
with mental handicap by providing a range of services
to meet their needs. The aims of MENTAID : 1) To advance
the personal development of mentally handicapped people
to greater opportunities and education, training, leisure
and recreational activities. 2) To promote personal choice
and independence where ever possible. 3) To encourage
full participation, integration and involvement in the
association, community and society. |
