Aim/Objective/Mission: Asha Deep is a project started
in the early 90s for the care and welfare of street girls.
It was officially opened on January 3rd 1994 but it had
been functioning previously. The aims and objectives of
the project is to retrieve the girls from the streets,
give them love, education and care like other girls receive
in their family and prepare them for their future. The
project cares for girls aged 4 to 14 and stresses on formal
education as much as possible. The shelter capacity is
for 40 girls. Another 40 are also under the care of the
project for education, rehabilitation and occasional help.
The project relies on donations for its continuity. |
